Flower pounding, Tataki zome and Hapa zome, are ancient Japanese techniques involving hammering flowers, leaves, and plants to create patterns on fabric.
Each of my pieces is made using flowers and plants from my yard and garden, including clematis, hibiscus, common weeds, and wildflowers, with hand embroidered access to enhance the natural beauty and shapes.
